Eagles Soaring November 2, 2012

I’ve noticed more eagles in my area over the years. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m more aware since I’ve been birding or if their numbers are actually increasing around my community.

At early evening, about 4:45 PM, my husband and I watched through binoculars at 2 eagles soaring above our home. What a sight! They are such amazingly beautiful birds.

One was an adult, the other a juvenile. They looked as if they had not a care in the world, simply soaring above the land floating on a breeze. Wouldn’t it be something to see earth from that vantage point?

You can help Ornithologists learn more about the migration patterns and the habits of birds by logging your sightings at eBird.org.

I am so grateful for this season of life where days are simpler and I have the privilege of taking in the true beauty of nature all around me.
I hope you’re enjoying Fall!
