Paula's Patch: A Minnesota Garden

Come wander in; my gate is always open! Gardening / Birding

Seed Progress April 18, 2011

Here’s a look at how my seeds are doing. I don’t start too much indoors; simply don’t have enough sunny space outside for veggies, etc. Sure do miss that!

I started some flowers and most of my herbs. I planted the kitchen herbs I commonly use and I will keep them in pots so I can move them around to the sunny spots during the day.

I love snipping fresh herbs when I cook. Somehow infuses just a bit more love into whatever dish I’m preparing. Can’t wait to get my other early herbs and vegetables in; one thing I need yet is garlic.

My seeds germinated rather quickly, but are slow to spring up, much like our Spring weather!

I like these plant/seed markers I found that let you use the actual seed packet (folded) as the marker. This would be much easier than saving bits of plastic silverware, slats from old vinyl blinds, popsicle sticks, etc. and writing on each.

Did you start any seeds? What are you planning to plant (indoors or out)?
