Paula's Patch: A Minnesota Garden

Come wander in; my gate is always open! Gardening / Birding

Frosting January Morning February 4, 2011

Well we sure have had some weather in the Midwest this year. Actually, it seems brutal all over the nation. This morning I woke up to hearing about Houston getting up to 6″ of snow! Pretty strange weather patterns.

No doubt your Midwest garden and yard is covered by mounds of snow like mine. Here’s some images of a pretty January morning where we had plenty o’ frost.

It’s harder for our backyard birds to find food after a snowfall. Don’t forget to clear your feeders of snow. 🙂

Need some new feeders? Gardener’s Supply has a bunch of practical feeders in all prices ranges. Check out their great gardening supplies here: Gardener’s Supply Company
