Paula's Patch: A Minnesota Garden

Come wander in; my gate is always open! Gardening / Birding

Organic Food and Farming December 3, 2010

I recently returned from a visit to return my son to college. I extended my time to visit with my family in the area.  While there, I like to go to the Italian market at Il Ritrovo | Field to Fork to pick up some of my favorite Italian pantry staples.

My Aunt and I had breakfast @ Field to Fork, where they cook and prepare food using ingredients that are all organic and raised on local farms. A bit spendy, but delicious. I love that they conscientiously develop recipes with love for their customers (foodies!) like me to enjoy. It’s my way of eating healthy while helping to sustain the local farmers that are passionate about growing food in an environment that seizes our instinct to return to putting natural food into our bodies.

It’s been a dream of mine to have a small plot of land where I could grow natural foods and raise small animals to supply my family’s needs and to share with a few others. So, guess I’m living vicariously through the farmers listed below!

These are just some of the local farmers in nearby WI that supply to Field to Fork ;  some have information about how to order their products online or where you can find their products in retail locations:
