Paula's Patch: A Minnesota Garden

Come wander in; my gate is always open! Gardening / Birding

Plant Sale April 16, 2010

We have glorious sunshine in Minnesota today! And I’m dreaming of what plants I’ll buy next week at our choir’s annual plant sale.

All my plants are loving the rain we had the past few days and are coming along nicely. I can’t wait until I can get into the side yard and tidy up the garden around the new path my hubby put in last Fall.  We’re also going to put a small deck platform outside our back door so we have some place to put a table and chairs. We usually eat supper in the yard during the summer to watch the birds eat theirs. It will be nice for grilling also. I’m thinking it will also cut down on the grass tracked in the house after mowing. 🙂 My husband is very handy. He really does enjoy these projects – it’s not just my honey-do list!

If you are in the New Prague, MN area next week, the Hymnus (local community choir) plant sale starts Monday, April 19. Come check out the hearty herbs, perennials and annuals that come from a local grower. They are fantastic, grow well and are priced from $2.00! (Tender plants arrive the first week of May. )

There are also a limited number of huge hanging baskets for just $18.  Come czech it out!
