Paula's Patch: A Minnesota Garden

Bulbs Are Sprouting March 30, 2010

What a welcome sight! My bulbs are sprouting and poking their little heads out of the ground. I’m anxious to see how my layered plantings do. So far the first round has sprouted with crocuses reaching for the sun.

If you’d like to see some spring wildflowers, check out this page at Explore Minnesota.  Several state parks are offering leisurely, guided walks to see wildflowers this spring. I’m going to try to head south in the next few weeks and check out the wildflowers blooming in Forestville/Mystery Cave State Park south of Rochester.

I hope your gardens are sprouting. 🙂

  1. You should check out Big Woods state park in Nerstrand around Mother’s day. It is quite awesome.
