Growing Herbs Indoors December 15, 2009

I’ve always wanted to have fresh herbs during the winter for cooking, so I thought I’d try to grow some indoors. The first basil plant died – not a total loss, though, since I used the dried leaves.

I went to a gardening center in Faribault to get seeds to start my own, but they don’t carry them until February.  Bugger.

I was listening to the TV the other day (wasn’t even in the room), but I heard an ad for Chia – you know the goofy Chia Pets that they sell every year at this time? (Those ads must work because they have been running them since I was a kid!) Well, this year they are also selling herbs.

Guess I’ll try to find a retail store that sells them and give ’em a go.  I have my doubts… 🙂
